Have you seen those pop-up things on the back of phones? They’re pretty cool, propping up the phone to watch videos or just making it easier to hold larger smart phones. Some companies are giving them away for free, as marketing merchandise or for brand awareness.
If you manage to snag one of these free pop-up phone holders, or you own pop-up phone holder and wish you could change the image, you have come to the right place! Below you find probably the easier tutorial ever written.
- Cricut Cutting Machine

Step 1: Go into design space and make a 1.5-inch circle.
Step 2: Duplicate this circle, so that you have two 1.5 inch circle.
Step 3: At this point, you have two options:
Option A: Find a silhouette image in design space or online and upload this image to your design space
Option B: Find a letter font and open a text box in design space.
Then resize your image from step 3 to fit within the 1.5-inch circle.
Step 4: Select 1 circle and the image/text and use the slice tool. Keep the sliced image that is a circle, and delete the sliced images/text that are the shape of your original image/text
Delete the layers highlighted below.
Before sending to cut, your images should look like this.
Step 5: Send the project through your Cricut.
Step 6: Weed and place the circular cut image on top of the circle.
Step 7: Place on your pop-up phone holder and enjoy!
